Moving fluid or air under pressure between a stationary base and a rotating superstructure requires a hydraulic swivel or rotary manifold.
By using Hydra-Tool® multiple passage swivels, OEMs are able to provide continuous rotation for hydraulic excavators, personnel lifts, hydraulic cranes, log loaders, tree harvesters, motor graders and machine tools. In plant applications include rotary tables and hydraulic fixture clamp feeds. These pressure swivels eliminate or reduce runs of costly high pressure hose assemblies. |

An in-house computer design center using Pro/E facilitates the manufacturing of a wide range of multi-passage swivels. When the need for a custom built swivel arises, our design engineers determine the optimum housing and spool material, proper seals, desired mounting arrangement and correct port sizes.
Hydra-Tool® swivels are manufactured for a maximum working pressure of 8000 psi, up to 24 passages or more with a wide range of operating temperatures. Bore sizes range from 5/8" to 12" with length up to 36". Custom piggy back slip rings can be incorporated. Ultra precision wear rings or ball bearings, top and bottom provide exact alignment between sleeve and spool; reducing wear and providing extended operating life. |
